The Cleveland Cavaliers signed guard Lester Hudson to a 10-day contract on Friday, and he is available tonight against the Bucks. To help familiarize you with Hudson, below are video highlights recapping a game he played against Stephon Marbury in China:
In January of 2011, Lester Hudson signed with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. He then joined Qingdao DoubleStar in November 2011, and he played Starbury in the above video as a member of that team. Tonight, I do plan to ask Hudson about this epic match-up with Marbury too, don’t worry.
Most recently, Lester Hudson was a member of the Austin Toros in the NBA’s Development League. He played in five games for the Toros this season, and averaged 17.6 points on .532 shooting, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.4 steals in 29.2 minutes per game. He’s a 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard from the University of Tennessee-Martin who was originally drafted in the second round with the 58th overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2009 NBA Draft.
During his rookie year in 2009-10, Hudson played in 25 total games for the Celtics and the Memphis Grizzlies, posting averages of 2.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 5.4 minutes per game. So congrats on the contract and welcome to Cleveland, Mr. Hudson. We hope you enjoy your time here.
