Ball Don’t Lie accurately describes current climate in Cleveland

Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo!’s Ball Don’t Lie posted an article on Tuesday highlighting the Northeast Ohio weddings who recently incorporated the LeBron James chalk toss into their nuptial celebration. Congratulations to the Perk’s and the Lawver’s, by the way, who may very well spend their one year anniversaries at an NBA Championship parade on Prospect next summer.

As I told my buddy Joe Lull on CBS Radio in Cleveland last night, the expectations for LeBron James, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and the rest of the Cavaliers are specifically that at this moment in Cavs history—an NBA Title in 2015.

While detailing the wedding celebration videos (click here to watch if you haven’t seen them yet), Rohrbach also accurately describes the current climate in Cleveland along with an appreciated shout-out for our Gregg Popovich article.

“Cleveland: So hot right now. Congratulations to everyone — especially these four newlyweds — in The Land, as LeBron dubbed it when the Kevin Love trade became official. You know your town has arrived when brides don’t mind covering their wedding dresses and carefully cropped hairdos in chalk dust. Well, that and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich walking your streets, posing for pictures and willingly telling folks, “The Cavs are going to be really, really good this year.”’

On behalf of The Land, Ben, thanks. Totally agree. Cleveland is hot right now, and it’s just getting started.
