Cavs travel to OKC to battle KD and the Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder, and reigning league MVP Kevin Durant take on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time this season. This time, the Cavaliers head to Chesapeake Energy Arena on a Thursday night. The Thunder have gotten off to a slow start this season, however, that is mostly due to the fact that their star players Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant have missed extended periods of time. The Thunder have won two in a row, and will look to make it three in a row when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks in preparation for their showdown against Cleveland. Durant is averaging 21.7 points per game in his three games so far this season.

According to Totally Tickets, the average price for OKC Thunder tickets to this game is $165.80 on the secondary market. That represents a 28% decrease in price from last week. Seeing that is shock given the profile of the teams and players that are involved in the game. The Get-in price for this game is $36.00. Despite the violent downward trend, this is still the most expensive game of the week for the Thunder. This matchup features the winners of the last three NBA MVP awards.

This is a matchup that almost everyone likes to see, especially basketball fans. Both James and Durant are regarded as the best two basketball players in the world. It’s easy to see why people get excited when these two matchup against each other. It will be an elite matchup at more than just the small forward spot when Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook matchup and Kevin Love and Serge Ibaka battle against one another. These two teams have become mirror images of each other. This is going to be a matchup of strength vs. strength on Thursday night in the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

This will be the first matchup of the year for these two teams who feature six of the NBA’s best players. The last time James and Durant faced off was when James was still a member of the Miami Heat on February 20, when the Heat routed the Thunder 103-81. The uniform has changed, but the excitement will remain the same on Thursday Night.
